Prisoners don’t pay taxes and people are in prison because they are outlaws. If Julian Assange was an American he would lose the right to vote and he is someone that definitely should be heard by everyone. Same goes for Chelsea Manning. American prisons are a good tool for the establishment to silence the government’s opposition.
They talk about it like your votes count There is no vote, they choose for you.
Prisoners can vote in Albania, Austria, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Kenya, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Sudan, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and Zimbabwe. Also Vermont, Maine & Puerto Rico.
Although, I personally believe violent criminals shouldn’t have certain rights that could affect others. When I say violent criminals, I’m not referring to people who accidentally kill someone. For an example: involuntary manslaughter.
