Luke and Jason, it’s good to see you guys still fighting on the front lines. I cannot maintain that level of enthusiasm without taking a sanity break once in a while.
Yeah hiding your identity is sometimes important and necessary. There could be a time when we’re gonna be tracked down by our governments through footage taken at protests and ‘disappeared’ in the night. Even if we remained peaceful. Why is the idea so preposterous?
But for the average protest no it’s probably not necessary and may even be detrimental.

azza there will always be the privacy chains that can’t be tracked. And also they can’t turn just certain addresses off on 99.9% of blockchains. They can block an address on some, but it requires a fork of the chain I think and they not going to do that for every address they want to block. Besides they’d have to know that was the address where your money was kept. At the moment there are way too many directions that your money can go chain to chain.
The thing with blockchain is that once it’s decentralised it can’t be controlled by anyone, it can’t be pulled down. It’s not completely there yet, but it soon will be. Blockchain is very good for us as long as we use it correctly.

I live in France, in Nantes not Paris. I’d just like to say that the protests are nationwide (and spreading to other countries) but the riots are just in Paris as far as I know. I was kinda expecting this when Macron was elected, I know what the French are like (I’m english btw) and I knew what little Macron was all about. But despite the little guy talking a load of jibberish and nonsense during the electoral campaign, the French are terrified of the the Front National so of course he won! I think the yellow vests and all of this was inevitable. I just hope for a positive outcome.
