We live in a country where we grow and waste enough food to feed everyone but we don’t get it to the people who really need it. I’m joined by Chef José Andrés on The Doctor’s Farmacy this week. He and I look at the fundamental flaws in the system that keep food from getting to those who need it most, along with so many other glaring aspects of our broken food system.
José Andrés is an internationally-recognized culinary innovator, New York Times best-selling author, educator, humanitarian, chef, and owner of ThinkFoodGroup, the award-winning collective of nearly 30 restaurants throughout the country and beyond. A naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Spain, Andrés has been a tireless advocate for immigration reform and on July 4, 2014 was named by President Barack Obama as that year’s “Outstanding American by Choice.” José was twice named to Time’s “100 Most Influential People” list and recipient of the 2015 National Humanities Medal.

I believe in Food Forests I use to lived in one for 3 years.. In California within 45 min. of San Francisco.. It was really difficult to get out of there.. Thank you for this conversation.
