  1. Really needed this one! I was taught to turn my head to the side-years ago in dance, so finding my breath without that has been a challenge). You’re amazing! Thank you!

  2. I always thought I had to get my wrists flat to the floor in this posture, which I struggle with, but I see your baby finger side of hands are all you have connecting with the floor with wrists raised. I guess I will not worry about this anymore, thanks.

  3. hi,kino
after did closing posture ,i have pain with my left heel, while i do updog to bend.
    not a contration,why?
    u r realy charming!!! worship.

  4. Hi. Big fan. If you can help me with question. I have a bulge disc in spine at l4/l5 s2. Is it OK for me to do shoulder stand and its variation like half shoulder stand and even touch my toes to floor in shoulder stand. Your help will be much appreciated.

  5. For some reason I have issues being able to breathe in this position. I just don’t feel at ease in this pose. How can I overcome the pressure within my core?

  6. Hi kino ,

I was doing the shoulder stand and halasana for a week and i am hearing vibrations in my left ear whenever it is silent or when i go to sleep , i stopped practicing , still i get the vibrating noise, what should i do?

  7. Could the vibrations just be a new awareness of the subtle body? If so, that’s not a bad thing. If not, and they are loud and like a ringing I would go an see the doctor just be safe.

  8. Thanks, as always, for the wonderful tutorial.  I needed this information for teacher training homework and this was spot on.  Some of this information was scattered amongst other videos, but you’ve got it all and you even provided a method for getting the shoulders aligned and growing into the posture.  Thank you so much.  Sat nam.

  9. Hi Kino, I love your videos! I have a question about the closing postures. I’m still working on the primary series and can only go about halfway on most days. Should I do the closing postures at the end of my practice even if I didn’t finish the primary? Or just go straight to Shavasana like I’ve been doing?

  10. thank you for the very good demo and explanation. my teacher tells me to flex my feet instead of pointed. is it just because ashtanga poses can be different? would this small difference actually matters? thank you.
